THE ENVIRONMENT
Today’s digital environment is evolving fast. From the rise of AI to the everyday use of smartphones, technology shapes how we live, work, and connect. But not everyone has equal access — or the skills — to thrive in this landscape.
Revive Black sees technology as a tool and a lifeline. We address the digital divide head-on, ensuring that underserved communities aren’t left behind. We provide real-time, hands-on support for everything from Wi-Fi access to AI literacy — empowering residents to navigate, understand, and embrace technology.
Our work centers on the human side of digital life — bridging gaps, building confidence, and ensuring that technology enhances rather than limits the opportunities of our community members. In this new digital era, we’re not just teaching skills; we’re transforming lives.
60% of Cincinnati’s Black households lack reliable high-speed internet limiting their ability to access telehealth, apply for jobs, or participate fully in the digital economy.1
35.6% of Black residents in Cincinnati live in poverty, compared to 16.5% of White residents—a gap exacerbated by limited access to digital tools for education, employment, and financial resources.2
25% of students in urban districts like Cincinnati Public Schools had an unknown internet connectivity status during remote learning, leaving many Black students disconnected from critical education opportunities.3
